A new Italian restaurant will open in January at the website of Vincent’s in west Cobb | Cobb Company Journal

January will see a new spouse and children-owned Italian cafe open in west Cobb.

Modena Ristorante Vinoteca promises to be a modern-day restaurant and wine bar at 3412 Ernest Barrett Parkway, the former web page of Vincent’s Italian Restaurante. Vincent’s served the local community there for about 10 years, in accordance to its Facebook website page.

The new restaurant is prepared to open in early to mid-January, said Maritza Padua, controlling lover.

Right after Vincent’s shut in March, Padua and her spouse, Andrew Kearton, who are living close by, observed it as the fantastic opportunity to realize their aspiration and open a restaurant.

Padua reported Kearton applied to perform for an Italian organization that took him to Milan usually, and the couple went to northern Italy collectively a number of moments, which has encouraged their restaurant’s menu.

The menu will characteristic northern Italian dishes like risotto, seafood and vegetables, Padua said, and pizza will be served out of a wooden-fired oven, in which shoppers can check out it bake. Desserts will consist of tiramisu, panna cotta and affogato al café, which is gelato served with espresso. She mentioned they program to use components sourced from community farmers.

“We want to make it like Italians do — mouth watering, but very simple, new substances as substantially as doable,” she stated.

Guests will recognize the house owners are revamping the restaurant’s search, changing Vincent’s orange, terracotta-fashion roof with a modern black one, with black, white and grey as a substitute of beige and green partitions.

The pair hopes to make their upcoming restaurant a group hub for their community, in which they have lived for about 5 several years, Padua claimed.
