United States Holocaust Memorial Museum Provides Facebook Stay Series ‘Rescued Recipes: Heroic Actions that Saved Relatives Treasures’

WHAT:           In celebration of the holidays, the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum will be presenting a Fb Live digital function on relatives recipes rescued through the Holocaust and the heroic steps that saved people relatives treasures.The dialogue is component of the Museum’s impressive Remain Connected sequence, which past month gained a Shorty Social Good Award.

 

Rescued Recipes: Heroic Steps that Saved Household Treasures



 

In 1944, 12-yr-old Steven Fenves and his family were compelled from their residence in Subotica, Yugoslavia, into a Jewish ghetto. While neighbors turned from them and looted their residence, their former prepare dinner, Maris, rescued their treasured spouse and children artwork and recipes. These cherished objects provide a glimpse into one particular family’s lifestyle ahead of it was shattered by the Holocaust.
