Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Ask Italian, Primark and Asda announce urgent product recalls

A number of high-street names have announced urgent product recalls.

Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Ask Italian, Primark and Asda have all advised customers not to consume certain items that have been sold over recent weeks.

The Food Standards Agency helps to publicise recalls and usually issues them for one of two reasons.

The first common reason is when it is feared that something harmful may have found itself inside the food – such as bacteria or debris.

The second often-cited reason is that ingredients are not listed properly, which could cause problems for allergy sufferers.

If you have any of the items below then check to see if the batch code or best before date matches up. If it does, simply return the item to where you bought it from for a refund, or throw it away.
