Teen charged with murder of Brighton restaurant operator

A 17-year-previous boy has been charged with the murder of a well-liked restaurant operator in Brighton.

The teenager is accused of stabbing 69-12 months-previous Susan Addis to loss of life at her dwelling in Cedar Gardens, Withdean.

Ms Addis, who ran Donatello’s Italian cafe, was identified lifeless at the home at around 7pm on Thursday.

Her relatives reported in a statement issued by police: “At this extremely unfortunate and distressing time, the family members kindly asks that all media regard their privacy. The loved ones are currently in a point out of shock”.

Brighton MP Caroline Lucas described Ms Addis as a “particular existence” as she paid out tribute to the grandmother’s fundraising endeavours in the city.
