Super Bowl spreads you can order from your favorite NYC restaurants

Most of us are looking forward to special televised events this year more than ever, and Super Bowl LV is sure to be a welcome distraction from the pandemic. Even if you’re not so into football (or you’re like us and are toggling back and forth to the Puppy Bowl), the commercials, half-time show, and, most importantly, food make it a fun Sunday night. And when it comes to nosh, it’s also a great opportunity to support one of your favorite local restaurants, many of which are offering up special game day packages.

CraftNYC
Celeb chef Tom Colicchio has been a vocal advocate for restaurants, especially those in New York, suffering during the pandemic. You can support his classic Flatiron restaurant on Super Bowl Sunday by ordering a taco box for local pickup or even nationwide shipping. The $155 box includes braised mojo pork and brisket, 20 Nixtamal white corn tortillas, and all sorts of toppings like salsa verde, charred chili sauce, and guacamole. For an extra $56, you can order the margarita kit, complete with silver tequila, passionfruit, jalapeño, and lime.

Socarrat Paella Bar
Bring some Spanish flair into your Super Bowl Sunday with Socarrat Paella Bar’s $99 nine-tapas special. Guests can choose their nine favorites such as patatas bravas (crispy potato cubes with aioli sauce), pincho de pollo (marinated chicken skewers with mushrooms, scallions, and chimichurri), albondigas (veal and beef meatballs in a light tomato sauce), and cochinillo (confit suckling pig with spinach and chestnuts).

Schaller & Weber
Since 1937, this German butcher shop has been serving Yorkville. Their $95 Super Bowl pack serves two to four people and is available for local pickup and nationwide shipping through Mercato. It includes a four-pack of Schaller & Weber’s cheddar brats to enjoy with pretzel buns, double-smoked bacon, cocktail weiners, Plymouth original cheddar, Iberico ham potato chips, a bottle of their signature sweet and spicy mustard, and a five-liter German Pilsner mini keg.

Baar Baar
From the East Village’s modern Indian restaurant, you can buy $25 snack boxes. They come in vegetarian or non-vegetarian and can serve two people. Some of the Indian-inspired finger foods and bar snacks you can expect are masala fried wings, paneer tikka quesadillas, curd rice arancini, Goan-style Scotch eggs, and vada pav sliders. Both boxes will be served with an assortment of house-made chutneys, poha-crusted onion rings, and masala sweetcorn. Three cocktails will also be available for $10 each: Ghee Old Fashioned (ghee-washed bourbon, salted jaggery syrup, angostura bitters), Hyderabad Collins (gin infused with raw turmeric, cape gooseberry shrub, green chartreuse), and Kairi mule (vodka, homemade green mango jam, ginger beer).

Bubby’s
Tribeca’s friendly neighborhood restaurant Bubby’s has a $65 appetizer platter for game day that comes with tater tots with jalapeno cheese dip, house-smoked buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese sauce, jalapeno poppers with homemade ranch, and pigs in a blanket with spicy honey mustard. For $85, the Super Bowl platter comes with the entire appetizer platter, plus a choice of two pizzas and salted chocolate chip cookies. There are also beer and cocktail options.

Hill Country Barbecue
Bring some Texas-style into your game day. The Nomad restaurant has a Big Game Box for $150 that serves four to six and includes a rack of baby back ribs, chopped beef for cooking the chopped brisket dish, sweet chili-rubbed wings, a nacho kit, house pickle, coleslaw, Martin’s slider buns, ranch dressing; and Hill Country’s own Barbecue Sauce.

Blue Smoke
Danny Meyer’s Tribeca barbecue restaurant offers nationwide shipping through Goldbelly, and for the Super Bowl, the $159 Big Game Ribs & Wings Combo is perfect. It comes with two racks of Memphis Baby Back Ribs and 30 chicken wings (choose from Alabama white sauce or chipotle sauce). You can also order for local pickup.

Blue Ribbon
Perhaps no restaurant is as well known in NYC for fried chicken as Blue Ribbon. They ship their famous food nationally via Goldbelly. There are many different chicken options, but we’re looking at The Big Game Combo for $199. It serves 12 (leftovers are a beautiful thing!) and comes with 24 jumbo wings and 24 crispy drumsticks.

Kin Wang’s
Operating from a shared ghost kitchen on the Upper West Side, this sandwich spot has a game day special for $100 that includes spicy fried chicken sandwiches, four buttermilk-brined chicken nugget appetizers, crinkle-cut ramen fries, and mac-and-cheese deluxe. It will be available on Seamless and Grubhub starting Saturday, February 6.

Carmine’s + Virgil’s Real BBQ
Another UWS spot, Italian restaurant Carmine’s is offering the Hero To-Go Platter for $199 which serves a group of six and includes chicken parm, Italian heroes, scarpariello wings, and baked ziti. The Big Game Package is $145 and feeds four featuring signatures like garlic bread, caesar salad, scarpariello wings, penne alla vodka, and chicken parm.

Virgil’s BBQ, the sister restaurant to Carmine’s that recently moved next door, has a six-person Slider To-Go Package for $135 that comes complete with slow-smoked brisket sliders, pulled pork sliders, mac and cheese, Virgil’s famous BBQ chicken wings, and their signature Trainwreck Fries.

If you want to try a bit from both restaurants, $175 MVP To-Go Package serves four to six people and includes caesar salad, Virgil’s BBQ chicken wings, Carmine’s scarparillo wings, a rack of Memphis-style pork spare ribs, penne alla vodka, mac and cheese, cole slaw, homemade cornbread, and banana pudding. All of these to-go specials are available for takeout, curbside pickup, and delivery; orders can be placed by emailing [email protected] or calling (212)-362-2200.

Clinton Hall
FiDi sports bar Clinton Hall will be offering a $100 Super Bowl platter that includes parmesan garlic wings, buffalo wings, chips with queso dip and guacamole, chili waffle fries, pretzel nuggets, and sliders. If you wanted to do outdoor dining, they’ll have the game on their eight outdoor TVs.

Willow
This new vegan restaurant in Chelsea is offering Super Bowl packages for two people for $45, six people for $85, and 10 people for $160. Enjoy “pastrami” and “tuna” melt finger sandwiches, a dip assortment, buffalo cauliflower, and more.

BKLYN Larder
This specialty retail cheese and provisions shop in Park Slope has several a la carte catering options for Super Bowl, including a cheese platter, pimento cheese dip, spicy chicken wings, and double chocolate brownies.

Pig Beach
This Gowanus BBQ spot has four different Super Bowl packages–the $100 Snack Pack (comes with two kinds of wings, stuffed mushrooms, deviled eggs, spinach artichoke dip, and pimento cheese), the $50 Hatch Vinegar Wings pack, the $100 Baby Back Ribs pack, and the $40 BBQ Nacho kit. Each one serves four to six, and there are also beer options. All orders must be received by Wednesday, February 3rd; email [email protected] to place yours.

Fornino
This popular Greenpoint pizzeria will offer half-priced beer and wine (which can still be purchased to-go in NYC!) with the purchase of food on Game Day from 12pm-9pm. Choose from over 25 different pizzas, meat and cheese boards, calzones, meatballs, and more.

Feltman’s of Coney Island
The original Coney Island hot dog sounds like a pretty good Super Bowl idea to us. Feltman’s $54.99 Super Bowl Bundle comes with a pack of Feltman’s original casing hot dogs, a pack of Feltman’s original skinless hot dogs (10-ct.), two packs of Martin’s long potato rolls, one deli-style hot dog mustard, and one Feltman’s knit beanie (keep your head warm while you grill up those dogs!). You can order for nationwide shipping, and use promo code “HotDogBowl” for 10% off your online order. Make game day extra fun, by trying one of these “outside-the-bun” recipes:

Nuhma
This New York City- and Hamptons-based catering company has a full Super Bowl menu. Choose from bar food like short rib nachos or pigs in a blanket, tacos, chips and dips, and classic desserts.
