Lawful Sea Food items cafe chain bought to PPX Hospitality

BOSTON (AP) — The Boston-based restaurant chain Authorized Sea Food items has been bought, Legal’s chief government explained Tuesday.

Legal’s 25 spots will now be operated by Boston-dependent PPX Hospitality Manufacturers, which owns the Smith & Wollensky steakhouse eating places and Strega Italian dining establishments, according to a assertion.

One of the good issues, I suppose, about the cafe small business in standard is that you occur in speak to with so quite a few individuals from so many walks of lifestyle.”

Berkowitz will keep ownership legal rights of the Authorized Sea Foodstuff title for the company’s e-commerce and retail business enterprise.

The first Legal Sea Food items restaurant opened in 1968 next to a fish industry that Berkowitz’s father, George Berkowitz, opened in 1950. Whilst most of its places to eat are in Massachusetts, the business has expanded into New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Virginia, and Washington D.C.

The coronavirus pandemic has been nerve-racking, Berkowitz reported.

“Would I have ordinarily preferred to offer?” he mentioned. “Probably not.”
