TV presenter and fashion stylist Jules Sebastian has shared the recipe she swears by when she can’t be bothered to cook and wants a dish that will please her entire family.
The 41-year-old mum-of-two said she loves to make ‘portable walking nachos’ her kids can eat on the go when she wants to make something quick, delicious and that won’t generate any washing up.
‘We’re in the school holidays and while we are nearing the end and the kids getting back to school, I thought that while we’re still on holiday, I could show you how to make walking nachos,’ Jules said in a recent Instagram video.

‘You will literally be the coolest parent in the world if you make this,’ she said, adding that there is limited washing up to be done.
To make the ‘portable nachos’, Jules said you’ll need some mini bags of Doritos or corn chips, a packet of mince meat, an onion, a couple of garlic cloves, some taco seasoning, grated cheese, spring onions, tomato and sour cream.
To prep the meal, simply chop your spring onions, tomatoes, onion and garlic, and gently fry the mince meat in the chopped onion, garlic and taco seasoning, before separating everything into bowls.
‘Open up the little packet of Doritos and fold over the edge to make the packet look boujis and reveal the chips,’ Jules said.
‘Then, simply give the packet a shake and get your kids to load it up with the ingredients they want.’
How to make Jules Sebastian’s ‘walking nachos’

One packet of mince meat
Two cloves of garlic
Spring onions, chopped
Cheddar cheese, grated
1. Chop up your spring onions, garlic, onion and tomatoes.
2. Gently fry the mince meat in a pan with the garlic and onion, as well as your taco seasoning.
3. Put everything else (grated cheese, tomatoes, spring onions, sour cream) into bowls.

Starting with the meat, Jules loaded up her own packet with meat, some spring onions, cheese, tomatoes and sour cream.
‘Dinner is served,’ she said.
‘This is so easy, so much fun and so tasty. Also, to be clear, there will be no walking [with my kids], but a sitting nacho just doesn’t have the same ring, does it.’
The mum-of-two said you can also add guacamole to this dish if your children like avocado.
More than 60,000 who saw Jules’s cooking video were impressed with it, and said they couldn’t wait to try it at home.
‘This is the best, my kids will go nuts over this,’ one mum wrote.
‘What a bloody good idea, I’m going to do it this weekend,’ another parent added.
This isn’t the first simple recipe Jules has shared that has sent parents into a spin.
