Jambon recipe from Belfast chef is the ultimate brunch treat

They’re a staple of hot food counters up and down the country but did you know it’s actually not that difficult to make your own tasty Jambons at home.

The delicious pastry filled with cheese and bacon is the ultimate comfort (and hangover) food and now thanks to Belfast’s undercover chef you can have them anytime you want at home.

After sharing the simple recipe on his Instagram account, the chef was inundated with people having a go themselves. The tasty brunch snack can be created in just minutes.

Here’s what you’ll need:


1 roll of puff pastry

5 bacon rashers cooked and diced

5 slices of ham cubed

100g grated cheese (cheddar works well but whatever you have)

1 beaten egg


  1. Heat your oven to 180 degrees
  2. Open up the puff pastry and roll out
  3. Cut the pastry into 8 equal pieces
  4. Fill each pasty case with grated cheese, ham and bacon
  5. Pinch each side together and brush with the egg wash
  6. Place in the oven for around 10/15 or until golden brown
