WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. (CBS4) — Dozens of people bought a tasty, absolutely free food delivered right to their doors on Thursday, thanks to an nameless donor, a nearby cafe and Denver law enforcement officers.

Here’s how it occurred: an nameless donor gave Grammy’s Italian Goodies in Wheat Ridge $2,000 — and asked the proprietors to make meals for deserving households.
The proprietors contacted the Denver Police Office and asked them to determine who need to get the meals. Law enforcement went a single stage further more — they delivered the meals on Thursday afternoon.

DPD Local community Source Officer John Avila reported it was a superior chance for officers to get out into the local community and give folks a further point of view on policing.
“When we’re able to assist men and women that are in want, primarily with food items resources, in the instances that we’re in correct now, they are incredibly grateful,” Avila claimed.
“It’s extremely helpful for us,” mentioned 1 recipient of the food items from Grammy’s.
