The winners of the Expand Little ones Cooking Challenge were declared Thursday, with two younger cooks getting home kitchen themed gift basket prizes.

Expand La Crosse invited area youth to take part in the digital cooking contest, creating original recipes working with a basket of “mystery” ingredients furnished by Grow. A whole of 52 youth 13 and underneath took the obstacle, combining their basket components with up to five other food stuff items and distributing their entries on the internet.

Ellie Gillitzer of La Crosse received the novice category with her recipe for Pizza Kabobs. Aiden Ravens, of Hokah, MN gained the superior category with his Greek Hen Kabobs, Property Fries, Clean Salad and Lemon Sorbet.
