Edinburgh chefs distribute balanced meals packs to families for just 50p

Vacant Kitchens, Full Hearts, an organisation established up by a team of out-of-function chefs in Leith at the start of the pandemic, has been distributing much more than a thousand food items parcels a working day for the past 7 days.

The group delivers working day packs — which contain a major course, soup, bread and a snack — for cost-free for any individual who asks, and are funded completely by donations.

“We have a group of chefs and hospitality staff who function in the kitchen and renovate all of this donated and rescued food items into these balanced foods for individuals in will need.
