I have no idea how it started, thus I have no clue how it got this far. Sometimes we go through life looking for something that can define us, a hobby, somewhere we can belong. Some people find it beneath the wings of love in their lover’s arms, some have found it in their passionate jobs, some have found their joy in the laughter of children (which by the way I so much adore), and others in their quest to find answers to the mysteries of the world. Shockingly the greatest percentage of the world’s population lives life by the day, embracing what comes along and no defined purpose.

For me, it just grew on me. A casual bite of chocolates, nave curiosity about this tempting commodity, a harmless craving for chocolates that lead to a curious pursuit for the verity. You can actually say that I grew in love with chocolates. And like my mum always reminds me, a love that grows never fades away, so if you ever fall in love, be sure to grow deep in love to. That said I guess I got a pretty good excuse why me and chocolates are not parting ways anytime soon.

I have had the best of adventures in my quest for the best of best of chocolates. Most of my vacation has been related to chocolates. I’ve toured many chocolate conferences, visited Cote d’ivoire which produces most of the world’s cocoa, tasted variety of chocolates I can barely keep count. Surprisingly in my entire venture there is this one place that gets to me. It’s become my chocolate shop, chocolate fly. We all got that one place we feel we belong, a place where you are just you and the people there just make it worth the while. May be it’s in their service, maybe in their varieties that can satisfy all the different urges for the different days of the week, the great gift ideas they. Or may be sometimes all the reasons add up to one. We just belong.

Am not just obsessed about chocolates for nothing, I got my reasons and am sticking with them for better or for worse till the economic meltdown do as part.

For one: chocolates have that addictive taste in them that one bar is never enough.

Secondly: Chocolates are just the best gift to give a friend. I mean they are the easiest gifts. There is joke going around my circle of friends that ‘we already know what’s in the box’, well don’t think am that predictable as there are a lot of varieties to choose from. I can always get a different kind with a different message on it. Surprise!!! Affordable, is the word that can best describe chocolates. There are some very expensive ones for those who love class. There is no money excuse attached to it and it’s a perfect gift. It’s actually pocket friendly if I may say so.

Not forgetting the fact that Chocolates can go with any occasion. Birthdays, weddings, valentines, tea parties, movie need, girls’ night out. It’s amazing that even in sad, depressing confusing moment’s chocolates contains neurotransmitter serotonin that have power to pacify and soothe our souls. I love chocolate fly’s idea of personalizing the chocolate box depending with the occasion.

The fact that they come in different brands in terms of tastes, shapes, colors, flavors for different occasions is a big plus. Just like the way we define wines according to the brands and colors, there are also hundred types of chocolates described by their brand. I have traveled, researched and tasted a variety of brand but am not even close to existing the bunch ( not sure it’s even possible) as a new day gives life to a new flavor discovery. You can have it the way you want it, salty, chili, extra sweet, milky, ooh and for the some of us (guilty as charged) who love the taste of liquor there’s chocolates blended with different liquor.

Affordable, is the word that can best describe chocolates. There is no money excuse attached to it. It’s actually pocket friendly if I may say so.

It’s healthy, this is really interesting but research has shown that chocolates ( dark chocolates ) are good for your health. Now this is one of my biggest excuse to have a bar a day. It contains nutrients that protects the skin from aging, blood pressure, retains hormonal balance, it reduces cholesterol and the list is endless.

There is a different yarn, a new adventure, in the world of chocolates every bite is a story.
